Where the natural beauty
of wood comes to life.

VONORE, TENNESSEE | CUSTOM WOODWORKING

Unique, one-of-a-kind showcase pieces crafted from exotic wood sourced from around the world — live edges, epoxy rivers, and nature-infused inclusions like fall leaves and mountain stream stones, built to your exact specifications.

"It is my passion to create unique, one-of-a-kind showcase woodworking projects using exotic wood sourced from all over the world — allowing the natural beauty to fully come to life."

MY STORY

Passion. Precision.
A Life's Second Act.

After a rewarding career as a business owner and commercial general aviation pilot, I found my truest calling in the workshop — creating pieces that honor the extraordinary beauty locked inside exceptional wood.

I prefer to finish every project with a natural finish, allowing each grain, figure, and character mark to speak for itself. I specialize in incorporating epoxy rivers and live edges into everything from dining and conference tables, counter tops, and coffee tables to serving trays, charcuterie boards, and table centerpieces. Many pieces also incorporate nature directly into the epoxy — colorful fall leaves gathered at peak color, smooth mountain stream stones, or other personal inclusions that make a piece truly irreplaceable.

Every piece begins with a conversation and ends with something that can only exist once — because no two slabs of wood are ever the same.

DELIVER

The Process.

HOW IT WORKS

Through a series of emails, phone calls, and meetings we will work together to source the exact wood you desire, develop a clear timeline, and produce a completed cost proposal — before a single cut is made.
I can generally source any wood that is requested and that is part of the initial scope of the project discussion.

"I prefer to finish every project with a natural finish — to allow the beauty of the wood to come to life."

AUTUMN LEAVES

Gathered at peak fall color — crimson, amber, gold, and rust — and suspended in clear epoxy. The result captures the most beautiful week of the year, forever.

RIVER STONES

Smooth, colorful stones collected from mountain streams — each shaped by thousands of years of moving water — set into the epoxy river to create a living, tactile tabletop.

Your Inspiration

Flowers, shells, arrowheads, coins, fishing
lures — if it has meaning and fits the piece,
I want to hear about it. Personal inclusions
make a piece truly one of a kind.

Nature, Preserved
in Epoxy.

A SIGNATURE TOUCH

Wood is the foundation — but some of my favorite pieces go further, using the epoxy river as a canvas to capture the natural world itself. I enjoy gathering colorful fall leaves at the height of autumn color and suspending them in clear epoxy, freezing that fleeting season permanently inside the piece.

In other projects, I collect smooth, colorful mountain stream rocks and stones — each shaped by centuries of flowing water — and set them into the epoxy river, creating a tabletop that looks and feels like a living stream bed captured in time.

No two seasons, no two streams, and no two pieces are ever alike. If you have something in nature you'd love preserved — leaves, stones, flowers, or something else entirely — let's talk about making it part of your piece.

NATURAL FINISHES

I favor finishes that reveal the wood's natural depth and grain, never obscure it.

PROGRESS UPDATES

Photographs are shared throughout the build
so you can follow your piece coming to life.

EXOTIC SPECIES

Sourced globally — from figured walnut to rare burls — for clients who want the extraordinary.

PERSONAL DELIVERY

Wherever practical, I deliver each finished
piece personally to ensure a perfect handoff.

Built to Last.
Built for You.

Natural wood is a living material. It breathes, shifts with the seasons, and deepens in character over time. Understanding these properties is part of what separates a craftsman from a carpenter.

Every project I take on comes with my full attention from start to finish – and a commitment to transparency at every step of the process.

Common Queries

Frequently Asked  Questions.

Completion timelines depend greatly on the availability of the specific wood species, the size and complexity of the project, and current workload.
We will develop and agree on a clear expected timeline before the project is approved.

A 50% deposit is required upon a signed approval of the project specifications, timeline, and cost proposal.
The remaining balance is due upon project completion, prior to delivery.

I prefer to personally deliver each project to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. However, if delivery is not practical, I can arrange shipping at the customer's cost.

If the finished project does not meet our agreed-upon specifications, I will refund your deposit. It should be noted that anything made from a natural wood species will change with changes in moisture. Even small seasonal shifts — summer to winter, air conditioning to heat — will affect the wood's moisture content. Sunlight, especially direct sunlight, will change the color of the wood over time.

These are the natural characteristics of the material, not defects.

Absolutely — that conversation is central to the process. I source exotic species from all over the world and will work with you to identify the ideal wood to match your aesthetic, your space, and your budget. If you have a specific species in mind, let's talk about what's available and what would work best.

Yes. Alongside large statement pieces, I craft serving trays, charcuterie boards, table centerpieces, game boards, keepsake boxes, and more. Many of these also make exceptional custom gifts.
